Our spring shipping season will begin in early March.   Orders taken now will be scheduled to ship according to your location-zone of hardiness- starting in March of 2015.  If you live in a warmer climate, container plants can be shipped during the winter if requested.

This year has been a true test of hardiness of plants and people. My goal has always been to create awareness of little used fruit, nut and perennial vegetables and make those plants available to others with similar interests. Little did I realize that there would ever be a time when the interests have passed our ability to produce many of  them.  Due to a lot of changes we made this past year, we will be more prepared for 2015 our 30th year in business.

American Persimmon Fruit

Oikos Tree Crops offers field grown and container trees that are freshly harvested in season, carefully packed and shipped to your doorstep. We take great care growing our food plants using all organic methods. Our 'local' is 'global' meaning we ship plants and seeds throughout the U.S. and international yet produce all of the plants from seeds at our farm rarely purchasing from outside sources.  We send plants during the dormant season in the spring and fall.

Seeds of many of our unique vegetables, oil seeds, primitive crops, and fruiting plants have been developed here at our farm in southwestern Michigan. Plants listed as Ecos means plants selected here at our farm for their unique adaptability, productivity and ease of cultivation. All plants are produced from seed at our farm. We do not use cultivars or grafted plants. We do not use GMO plants or seeds. Currently we are sold out of our woody plant seeds but hope to offer them again in the fall of 2015.

Spring Ship Dates  Starts in Early March   Ends in Early May

Orders taken are automatically scheduled for spring shipping. All container pot plants can be shipped during the late fall and winter months if requested but normally we limit shipping in the winter due  to being within the shadow of lake effect snow. Oikos Tree Crops does not have a garden center or offer public sales but orders can be picked up direct from the farm by appointment. No tours for 2015.
